Second Journal!

     As a student, MS Word has been the most used application in my career. Every paper that I have had to turn in for a class has been on done on Word. It's the program I'm most familiar with and the one that my teachers all approve of universally. I never even thought of using another application. Since the first grade, my elementary school took pride in teaching all their students how to become familiar with all the programs on their computers. In the class periods where we'd learn how to use Word, I would find myself practicing how to make brochures, flyers, and even invitations. I never really understood how to do more intricate things until I took the Computer Fluency course (CGS 2060) here at FSU. They went into more detail about each and every tab on the program. Personally, I see MS Word now solely as a way to write papers and create tests and quizzes. First Day with EME 2040

Prior Experience with Technology              My prior experience with technology is primarily the use of my iPhone 6s, but I did have to take CGS 2060 here at FSU which is a computer fluency course that lets you become familiar with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel). I have a MacBook Pro so I'm pretty familiar with some of my applications on there (Spotify, MusicNote, iMovie, etc.). But my experience is pretty limited to what I have to learn to survive, for example my cellphone, skills I would need to pass a class, and learning how to use an application in order to complete a school project. As for educational technology, my experience is limited to what I was shown at FSU's Education department in the Sandbox.  What I Hope to Learn in this Course        I hope to become more fluent in educational technology and basically any technology that would give me that edge as a future educator/counselor/whatever ...
